When injury is acceptable, Cosma has ray of frost at her disposal. Her alhulak can cause slashing damage on anyone with 20’, meaning that she can engage people long before they can engage her. Combatants further than 20’ can be struck for piercing damage with javelins thrown from her +1 atlatl7.

Growing up in the preserver district of the city-state of Tyr provided Cosma with a chance to learn magic openly without fear of a mob as elsewhere on Athas. She loved the stories of how the avangion Centicles distributes fruit to the good children and ash to the bad children of Athas on the night before Highest Sun. Once she thought she spotted the man, but he looked more like an elf than an avangion.
When she came of age she turned her back on the stories as childish. She summoned her hawk familiar, and the two of them quickly became a team for good thoughout the Tyr Region. However, she quickly realized that the stories of Centicles offered hope to the young in a world where sorcerer kings routinely crushed hope wherever they can.
In time, she found herself promoting the stories of Centicles from small villages to the underground of the city-states. Once, when she was attending the Zenalian Starlight Pageant in the city-state of Nibenay she was surprised by a visit from the man himself! The elderly human explained his divine mission, how he had created the legion, and how she had practically self-trained herself for join it. Seeing the good she could do for Athas, she accepted.
